WELCOME TO

At Show Me The Truth, we believe that mental health care shouldn’t be a privilege—it should be accessible to everyone. Founded with the mission to support individuals who can’t afford therapy, rehab, or essential medications, we’re here to bridge the gap between struggle and healing, ensuring that no one has to suffer in silence.

WHY WE STARTED
Founded by Jowell Doughly, Show Me The Truth was born from a deep understanding of how untreated mental health struggles can lead to addiction, isolation, and homelessness. Having spent over a decade working in Downtown Los Angeles and growing up in the area, Jowell saw firsthand that many people experiencing homelessness didn’t end up there because they were lazy or careless—they were failed by a system that didn’t provide the support they needed.
Our hope is to break the stigma around mental health so that more people seek help before reaching that point. Mental health issues, trauma, and financial hardship shouldn’t be a one-way road to losing everything.
That realization became the driving force. We want to create a space where no one has to choose between financial stability and mental health. A space where people wouldn’t have to suffer alone. That’s how Show Me The Truth came to life—out of a desire to make healing accessible and to remind people that they are not alone in their struggles.
At Show Me The Truth, we are committed to changing the narrative around mental health, making care accessible, and ensuring that no one is left behind.
